His Simple Prayer

 

He said a simple prayer today, and asked for help in his honest way. 

He understood your hopes for him, and only wished to cleanse his sins. 

I smiled at him as he waited for you, my darling child so sweet and true. 

But you did not linger near, too far away to hear his fear. 

I miss you now and then again, the way it was remember when. 

Forever is simply too far away to waste in praying for today. 

Take my love and warm embrace I give it freely without disgrace. 

Kiss me once and hold me still, caress my hand and free my will.

You are my friend, my one true love, together we will soar like doves above. 

Simply put I wish you peace, even when you are far from reach.
